So you’ve never had pallet racking before and you’d like to learn from the mistakes of others so that you’re well prepared? We like your forward thinking.
We put our thinking caps on and came up with a few of the biggest mistakes that people make in relation to pallet racking. Keep reading.
Any damage to racking will reduce its load bearing capacity. Any broken bolts, welds, or pins should be replaced straight away. Where there’s significant damage to the shape of any element of the racking, it should be replaced immediately.
Before ordering, it’s important to be certain of the size and weight of your pallets. When contacting Advanced Handling & Storage Ltd, to get a quote for racking, we’d advise on discussing the load capacity level, size of space available, height restrictions, type of forklift truck being used, what is being stored and whether a bolted or welded system is required.
It really doesn’t have to be. As a racking company, we can provide racking to suit whatever space you have available. We provide pallet racking to pretty much any specification, so that it’s most effective for you.
We have a Specialist Racking available too – providing Tyre Racking, Carpet Racking, Cable Racking, Mobile Racking, Archive Racking and Exhaust Racking, for example.
Hope this helps to save you from making pallet racking mistakes. If in doubt, feel free to contact us.
If you want to maximise your warehouse space through the use of second hand or new pallet racking, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us on 0800 345 7088 or send an email to sales@advanced-handling.co.uk
